How to see who unfollowed you on Threads

Threads doesn’t tell you when someone leaves. Your own data download does, if you take it twice. Here’s the safe way, with no password.

The short answer

  1. Open Accounts Center → Your information and permissions → Download your information.
  2. Choose your Threads profile and select Followers and following, format JSON.
  3. Drop the ZIP on Unwrapped for Threads. That’s your first snapshot.
  4. Repeat in a week or two and drop the newer export. Everyone who left is listed.

What you’ll see right away

  • Not following back: accounts you follow that don’t follow you.
  • Fans: people who follow you that you don’t follow back.
  • A fake follower check for bots and spam among your followers.

A single export can’t say who left, because it’s just a list at one moment. Two exports can: whoever is in the old list and not in the new one has unfollowed you (or deactivated their account).

Why not use an unfollower app?

Apps that ask for your Instagram or Threads password put your account at risk. Unwrapped only reads the file Threads gives you, in your browser, and nothing is uploaded. We explain the risks in Are unfollower apps safe?

Free or paid?

The analysis and the counts are free. Plus shows every name and keeps your full history.

Nobody is told that you checked. You are only reading your own data.
