Your mutual followers on Instagram.

“Mutuals” are the people you follow who also follow you. Instagram only hints at them — here’s how to see the complete list.

What Instagram shows

On someone else’s profile, Instagram shows “Followed by …” — the people you both know. What it doesn’t show is the full list of your mutuals: everyone where the follow goes both ways.

Get the full list

  1. Download your Instagram data: Followers and following, format JSON.
  2. Drop the ZIP on Unwrapped.
  3. Open the lists: Mutuals, Not following back and Fans (people who follow you but you don’t follow).

Why mutuals matter

  • They’re your real network — the people most likely to see, like and share your posts.
  • Comparing mutuals with your Close Friends list shows who you’ve forgotten.
  • A mutual who suddenly appears in “not following back” has unfollowed you.

Mutuals with another account

To see which followers you share with someone else, open their profile and tap “Followed by”. For privacy reasons no tool can download another person’s full follower list — and tools that claim to need your password.
