Compare two Instagram follower lists.

Instagram shows your followers as they are today. Put two lists side by side — from two different dates — and you see exactly who left and who arrived.

Where the two lists come from

Every Instagram data download contains your full followers list (followers_1.json) and the accounts you follow (following.json), with the date of each follow. Download once now, and again in a week or two: those are your two lists.

Compare them in two minutes

  1. Download your Instagram data: Followers and following, format JSON.
  2. Drop the ZIP on Unwrapped. It’s saved as a private snapshot in your browser.
  3. Next time, drop the newer ZIP — or drop an old and a new ZIP together. The comparison runs automatically.

What the comparison shows

  • Who unfollowed you between the two dates — and whether you still follow them.
  • New followers in the same period.
  • Who you unfollowed yourself, so you don’t confuse the two.
  • A followers-over-time chart once you have three or more snapshots.

Doing it by hand (and why it’s painful)

You can open both JSON files and compare usernames in a spreadsheet, but usernames change, the files are nested and a list of a few thousand names takes ages to check. A tool built for the export handles renamed folders, HTML exports and multi-part ZIPs for you.

FAQ

Can I compare follower lists without logging in?

Yes. Both lists come from your own official data downloads, so no password and no third-party login is needed.

Do I need two downloads?

To see who unfollowed you, yes — one list from before and one from after. One download alone shows who doesn’t follow you back right now.

Is it free?

Yes, the comparison and the counts are free. Plus shows every name and keeps your full history.
