See who removed you.

LinkedIn sends no notice. Two data downloads, compared, show exactly who left your network.

LinkedIn doesn’t tell you

When someone removes you as a connection, you get no notification, and the person simply disappears from your list. Your connection count drops by one, but nothing says who.

Compare two downloads

  1. Request your connections from LinkedIn: Settings → Data privacy → Get a copy of your data → Connections. The file is Connections.csv. See how to export your LinkedIn connections.
  2. Keep that file. Some weeks later, request it again.
  3. Drop both downloads into Unwrapped together. It shows who is in the old list but not in the new one.

Everything runs on your device. Your connections are never uploaded.

Removed, or just deactivated?

Someone who deleted or paused their LinkedIn account also drops out of your list. If you search for their name and their profile is gone, they most likely left LinkedIn rather than removed you.

FAQ

Does LinkedIn notify you when someone removes you?

No. LinkedIn sends no notice to either person.

Can I see it from a single download?

No. One download only shows who is connected now. You need an older one to compare with.

Will they know if I connect again?

They’ll get a normal connection request, like any other.
