Spotify Wrapped 2026: don’t wait for December.

When does Spotify Wrapped 2026 come out?

Spotify doesn’t announce the date in advance. In recent years Wrapped has arrived between the end of November and the first week of December: on 29 November in 2023 and on 4 December in 2024. Expect Wrapped 2026 in the same window, most likely on a weekday around the turn of the month.

What counts towards your Wrapped?

Wrapped looks at your listening for most of the year, from January until a cutoff some time in the autumn. Spotify doesn’t publish the exact cutoff, so songs you play heavily in December usually count towards next year. A few other things to know:

• It ranks by how much you listened, so one song on repeat for a week can beat a favourite you play now and then.
• Listening in a private session may not count, because Spotify leaves those plays out of your taste profile.
• White noise, sleep sounds and kids’ songs played on your account count too. That’s why some Wrapped results feel off.

How to see your Spotify stats now

You don’t have to wait. Every Spotify user can download their own listening data, and it holds the same raw numbers Wrapped is built from:

1. In a browser, go to spotify.com → Account → Account privacy.
2. Under Download your data, tick Account data (about the last year, usually ready in around five days) and Extended streaming history (your whole history, up to 30 days).
3. Confirm the e-mail, and when the ZIP arrives, drop it on Spotify stats.

You’ll see your top artists and songs by real minutes listened, when you listen by hour and weekday, your skip rate and your podcasts. Request it today and it should arrive well before Wrapped day, so you can compare your numbers with Spotify’s.

The full walkthrough is in how to get your Spotify extended streaming history.

See your Wrapped for past years

Spotify doesn’t keep old Wrapped stories around. Your extended streaming history goes back to the day you joined, though, so Unwrapped Pro can rebuild your number one artist and song for every year since you joined.

Why isn’t my Spotify Wrapped showing?

• Update the app. Wrapped lives in the latest version of the Spotify app; older versions may not show it.
• Look on the home screen or search for “Wrapped”. It doesn’t appear in the desktop app the same way.
• Not enough listening. New accounts and accounts with very little listening may not get a Wrapped.
• Kids’ and some managed accounts can behave differently.

If Wrapped never shows up, your data download still works, any day of the year.
