Every follow request you ever sent.

Requests to private accounts that never accepted stay pending for years. They still count toward your limits — and the account owner can see them.

Why old requests matter

A pending request never expires. The other person keeps seeing it, and a long list of unanswered requests can look spammy to Instagram. Cleaning them up is a quick win.

Where to find them

Instagram doesn’t show a list of requests you sent in the app. Your data download does: the file pending follow requests lists every request still waiting, with the date you sent it.

See and cancel them in minutes

  1. Download your Instagram data with Followers and following ticked, format JSON.
  2. Drop the ZIP into Unwrapped and open Follow requests. You’ll also see requests you received.
  3. Open each account and tap Requested to cancel — or use the paced cancel queue so you never hit Instagram’s limits.

Everything is read on your device. Unwrapped never logs in to your account and never cancels anything for you.

FAQ

Can I see follow requests I sent on Instagram?

Not as a list in the app — but your Instagram data download includes all pending requests you sent.

Does the person know when I cancel?

No notification is sent. The request simply disappears from their list.

Is it safe to cancel many at once?

Go slowly. Cancelling hundreds in minutes can trigger a temporary block, which is why the cancel queue spaces them out.
